Green Smoothie and some Toasts!

While we are on the subject of bread this week, I started craving some breakfast power toasts! Packed with seeds, nut butter and fruit this is the perfect post workout breakfast or just a generally great way to start your day! My morning does not feel complete unless I have had a nutrient dense smoothie, so I whipped up an apple, spinach, matcha and hemp smoothie which was absolutely to die for!

Power Toasts:
2 slices Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery Little Big Bread
1 tbsp natural peanutbutter
1 tbsp natural sunflower seed butter
Chia seeds
Pumpkin seeds
Banana
Raspberries
Cocoa Powder

Toast your bread to desired crispiness. Top one with peanut butter, pumpkin seeds and raspberries. Top the second one with sunflower seed butter, banana, chia seeds and dust with cocoa powder. Enjoy!

Apple, Spinach and Matcha Smoothie:
1/2 banana
1 apple
2 cups fresh spinach
1/2 cup almond milk
3 tbsp Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp maca root powder
1/2 tsp matcha powder
1 cup water

Blend all ingredients until smooth and hemp hearts have been blended! Sip your way to feeling amazing!
