They may not be the most appetizing looking things in the world but these little bites of nutrients are delicious and the perfect snack for on the go! They are easily transportable and keep for up to two weeks in your fridge so you always have some on hand. In just one ball you get healthy fats, energy sustaining carbohydrates and protein for the most convenient snack or sweet treat when you are craving something sweet!
Raw Spirulina Energy Bites:
1/2 cup almonds
1 cup pitted dates
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp spirulina powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp hemp hearts
Throw all ingredients into your food processor. Pulse for about one minute to chop up the dates and almonds. Once the almonds are chopped put your food processor on the regular setting and allow the mixture to blend in there until a dough like ball forms. Roll the mixture into 1-1 1/2 tbsp round balls and store in an airtight container in the fridge
- They get their dark green color from the spirulina powder so don’t worry they are suppose to be green!
