Sea Buckthorn is my new thing right now. I always go through these phases of different foods or powders and just put them in everything for like two weeks or until I find something else new to obsess over!
Sea Buckthorn has incredible benefits for your hair, skin and nails. So in other words it makes you pretty and gives you a glow… what more do you need first thing in the morning. Mixing it with mango, spinach, protein powder, yogurt and almond milk makes this smoothie perfectly filling, beautifying and goes great alongside some toast, eggs or by itself if you’re not that hungry first thing in the morning!
Mango and Sea Buckthorn Protein Breakfast Smoothie:
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen mango
1 handful spinach
1 scoop of vanilla plant based protein powder (I use Vega All-in-one French Vanilla)
1 tsp sea buckthorn powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp maca root powder
3/4 cup unflavored Greek yogurt (use coconut or soy yogurt if a substitution is needed)
1 cup almond milk
1 cup water
1/3 cup frozen juice pulp from Extreme Green Juice (Optional)
Blend all ingredients in your blender, add more liquid if needed and enjoy!
