Before FoodGlow came to be Nutella on two pieces of toast plus an extra dollop of Nutella on the side for after use to be my jam. Unfortunately as genius and amazing tasting Nutella is, I would not necessarily say it is made of real food. Oh but don’t you worry! Your girl (me) of course had to find a way to FoodGlow-ify it and created a sugar free, fat filled and whole food Nutella taste-alike smoothie. Not only does this guy taste like Nutella it also packs in a good 20g of protein, antioxidants from the cacao powder and vitamin C from the strawberries. When you wake up craving something super tasty and satisfying or want to turn it into an after dinner treat this Strawberry Nutella Shake will be your best friend!

Strawberry Nutella Shake
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 handful fresh spinach
1 cup chopped steamed and frozen zucchini
1/4 cup soaked and rinsed hazelnuts
1 serving Nuzest Chocolate Clean Lean Protein (use my code “FOODGLOW” to get 15% off your order and free shipping on orders over $50!)
1 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tsp maca root powder
dash pink Himalayan sea salt
dash of cinnamon
2 cups water

Place all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into your favorite smoothie cup and top with cacao nibs, fresh or shredded coconut, frozen strawberries and almond butter.

– For soaking the hazelnuts, place them in a small bowl and cover completely with water and allow to soak undisturbed for 24 hours or overnight. Before placing them into the smoothie drain the soaking water and lightly rinse them.
– This smoothie also tastes great topped with my Legendary Grain-Free Granola!
